Birds in the Bull's-Eye: Raw video of oiled marshland

Regardless of what rhetoric we may hear from BP, the U.S. Coast Guard, or the Unified Command regarding the efforts being made to contain and clean-up this BP oil drilling disaster mess, clearly not enough is being done. The claims being made by those in charge that everything that can be done is being done are simply outrageous. All one has to do is watch this raw video footage taken the other day by me in coastal marshland near Pass-a- Loutre, south of Venice, Louisiana to see that the response is an utter failure and disgrace.

If everything is being done then how come countless square miles of our precious marshland look exactly like what you see in this video? How come the only people that I saw in and around Pass-a-Loutre were workers involved in the operation of oil and gas facility outposts? For whatever it is worth, which obviously is not that much, I did see some boom in place but, as you can see that boom is virtually ineffective. If you look closely at this video you will see that I focused in on a bird perched on top of some roso-cane reeds. Just another bird in the bull’s-eye.
