90 Musicians Sound the Call for the Gulf Coast

GRN is excited to announce that Ozzy, REM, Pearl Jam, My Morning Jacket, Trent Reznor, Bonnie Raitt, OK Go, Rise Against, Indigo Girls, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Galactic and 80 other musicians and bands have joined together in a letter to the White House urging action on Gulf coast recovery.

7 months after the BP drilling disaster, our wetlands are still being affected, our communities are still in jeopardy, and scientists are fearing the still unknown long-term impacts.  Unfortunately, despite some initial good signs from the White House, Washington DC still hasn't taken action to learn the lessons of the BP disaster.  Now that Congress is done with elections, and back in a lame-duck session, add your voice to Dr. John's (check out the video below) and urge them to take action for the recovery of the Gulf.

Head here to send your message that BP's fines and penalties should be used to help the Gulf recover, and that the communities most affected by big oil's screw ups in the Gulf should have a louder voice in making sure BP's failures are never repeated. http://bpdrillingdisaster.org.
