MISSISSIPPI NEEDS WETLANDS, TOO

The Army Corps is proposing to trash policy protecting wetlands in Mississippi. To add salt to the wound, they're doing so under the guise of hurricane recovery, despite the fact it does nothing but put our coastal communities at greater risk. Even worse, it would set a horrible precedent for protecting wetlands throughout the rest of the nation.

The GRN is working hard with community groups and other organizations to stop such a horrible proposal from being implemented. And, we're glad to see support from the Times-Picayune.
