Grassroots Leadership (New Orleans based)

Are you interested in developing your skills as a grassroots organizer?  Do you want hands-on experience recruiting and training environmental advocates to change the course of the future in the Gulf region?

The Grassroots Leadership Intern is a new position at the Gulf Restoration Network that will work on the GRN's public outreach and community involvement activities.  The Gulf Restoration Network conducts grassroots outreach at events across New Orleans, including the Arts Market of New Orleans, Freret Market, the Poboy Festival, and the Voodoo Experience.  We train volunteer advocates on the critical environmental issues here in the Gulf and on conducting outreach to the public.  Our advocates do the critical work of engaging the public in the fight for a healthy Gulf, and the Grassroots Leadership Internship offers a motivated student the opportunity to become a driving force in grassroots organizing and public environmental education in New Orleans.
