Secretary Mabus Meetings Update

Secretary Ray Mabus is in the Gulf Coast this week to hold a series of listening sessions in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. The meetings are to provide Gulf coast residents an opportunity to offer long-term economic and environmental restoration ideas with the Secretary. The more concretet the idea the better. Background: President Obama charged Secretary Mabus with developing a long-term Gulf Coast Restoration Plan. The plan will consider economic development, community planning, restoration of the ecosystem and environment, public health efforts and assistance to individuals and businesses impacted by the spill in the Gulf.
