Description: This training will address challenges faced by Mississippi Gulf Coast residents struggling to recover in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. We will discuss requirements of national disaster programs, review how decisions are made regarding disaster relief funding, and learn how residents can engage with officials to ensure their communities benefit from federal disaster dollars. This training will be led by Reilly Morse, a Healthy Gulf board member, policy expert and attorney with nearly 20 years of experience leading the Mississippi Justice Center.
