This past I enjoyed the wind and waves with our amazing supporters aboard the Capt. Pete out of Gulfport, Mississippi. With over 100 guests in attendence, this was one of the largest GRN boat parties yet! Even the gulls and dolphins joined us. We snacked on delicious brisket, floral salad, and a Gulf themed cake for dessert. Drew Kazal strummed guitar on the second deck for those who wanted to enjoy the breeze. Attendees purchased raffle tickets for everything from a drawing on cypress wood by Steve Shepard to a handcrafed purse by Ellen Ellis Lee, to Pilates class pass at Bayou Pilates. Funds raised from this event support GRN’s ongoing fight for the Gulf’s people, places, and wildlife as we work to stop the proposal to open Mississippi waters to oil and gas drilling and production.A very special thanks to our host committee and event supporters for making the day possible!
