Gulf Coast Whale Festival
Please join us for the Gulf Coast Whale Festival Sat. March 7 from 9 am – 3 pm CT at Gulfside Pavilion on Pensacola Beach. We are excited for the third year of this Festival, as we work to create a “whale culture” along the Gulf coast.
Educational exhibits and activities will tell the story of Gulf whales and local marine life, including a puppet parade and a life sized model of a Rice’s whale on display. Sweet sounds will flow from the Casino Beach Pavilion with live music by Pensacola singer-songwriters.

Laura Engleby, brings decades of experience to the conversation. She recently retired from NOAA Fisheries (former Marine Mammal Branch Chief, Southeast Region) and now serves as Chair of the Rice’s Whale Collaborative Network Steering Committee. Laura has spent her career working to protect endangered marine mammals and has a unique perspective on what makes this species so important.
