New Orleans, La.-State and Federal Agencies will be meeting Tuesday in New Orleans to discuss the Gulf Dead Zone and the nitrogen and phosphorus pollution in Mississippi River States that fuels the Zone. This Task Force to address the Dead Zone (Hypoxic Zone), has been meeting for two decades, and had a goal to reduce the Connecticut-sized Dead Zone to 2,000 square miles by 2015.
